Ryan Roland, a call centre worker from Linlithgow, will step down from being a husband and father in order to pursue his first true love: Football Manager.
Roland acknowledged that while he had had a good run as a father and husband, he now wants to spend quality time sitting in his pants managing his beloved Falkirk F.C.
He will focus his efforts on bringing the UEFA Champions League title to Brockville. However, this feat is so unlikely in real life, it is unknown if the programmers even bothered code it into the game.
Alison Roland, Ryan's wife of seven years, took to social media to give her side of the story.
"I'm divorcing him. Why he's framing it this way, I have no idea.
"He is a terrible father. He couldn't budget to save his life. I have to borrow money from my parents every month. Yet he can somehow balance the books of a professional, albeit virtual, sports team."
Ryan shrugged off her comments, "She borrowed money? I never saw the incident, I'm afraid.
"I've shown my wife too much respect in the past. But now I'm ready to put in a shift, give a good account of myself and commit 110% to Football Manager.
"Although there's no easy games at this level, unless you use a cheat code.
"The most important thing is that I have a great group of lads at the football club and they really support each other. Unlike my wife.
Club captain Steve Hetherington would never get drunk at a dinner party and make jokes about certain issues I have in the bedroom."
Alison responded, "I hope his players perform better on the pitch than he does between the sheets."
However, Ryan remains unperturbed.
"This Falkirk team that I'm building will be my legacy. I want my son to inherit this team when I die because I have no property or money to pass on to him."
Early reports claim that Ryan was fired from his job at Falkirk F.C but was then re-hired after resetting his computer without saving the game.
